Born in Hong Kong in 1941, studied architecture and arts at the Hong Kong University with Ph. D. degree in Fine Arts. Practiced architecture in Hong Kong since 1967. Major projects designed by Dr. Kwan in the past 50 years include the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, the Hong Kong Science Park (Phase I & III), the North Lantau Hospital, the Kai Tak Children Hospital, the Tin Shui Wai Hospital, the ICAC Headquarter, the Lo Wu Correctional Institute, the Park Island etc. plus numerous other projects in Hong Kong, Macau and China.
